NCC lands $40 million to revitalize Sparks The National Capital Commission has been given $40 million to go shopping for properties along Sparks Street as part of its plan to revitalize the area.

The money was given to the NCC last summer, but the funds weren't approved officially until December. The government also provided the NCC with an extra $500,000 in operating costs and $5.3 million to spend on official residences.

NCC officials said they would not reveal details of their revitalization plans until they are officially released for public input sometime in February.
